Building Driver Profiles

Creating driver profiles is an essential part of operating your business. There are multiple ways that a driver profile can be built in the software, but the easiest and most straight-forward process is detailed below. Follow each step and review the notes beneath the corresponding section for more information on what information is needed!

Step 1: Enter your admin page

Step 2: Click the “Drivers” button

Step 3: Click “Manage”

Step 4: Enter driver information

  • *NOTES continued form step 4:

    • Enter driver first and last name

    • In email address we use the format of driver’s first name followed by "rd@yourdomain.com"

    • Ex. jonrd@timetoeatdelivery.com

      • Password we usually set to pass123 (the same as the restaurant profile passwords)

      • The reason for adding rd after the name is to identify that profile as restaurant delivery

    • If pursuing workplace delivery you will need a separate profile

      • One driver can have two profiles but can not be simultaneously logged in to both

      • Be sure driver knows that if they are delivering workplace they need to be signed into that profile and when they are finished they need to sign out

    • If they will continue working the rest of the day for you, then they need to sign in to the restaurant delivery profile as outlined above.

  • Workplace delivery profile:

    • It will be the same as restaurant delivery except it will have wp after the first name

    • If they are a workplace driver you will want to be sure not to assign a per order commission structure of roughly $3.00 per delivery. You will want to leave that empty and select “Driver Type” and pick “hourly” in the box beside it and enter an amount usually $1-2 above your local minimum wage.

Once entered click “Add” at the bottom

Step 5: Select “Phones” to assign a phone to the driver

Step 6: Add Phone info

  • Once filled in click “add”

  • To locate the SMS email click the help button

    • A new popup will open and click the blue “here”

    • This will open a wikipedia page where you may scroll down to locate a chart of gateway domains. This is what you will use depending on your driver's cell provide/towers used.

  • Please note that “Phone Email” is your driver's login email

Step 7: Ensure the phone has been assigned

If done properly you will see it listed

Step 8: Final Step

  • Be sure your driver has installed “driver logic” from their appropriate app store

  • Again the login info is their name followed by "rd@yourdomain.com"

  • Be sure the driver allows notifications

  • Be sure that the driver allows the app to always use their location to ensure that auto dispatch will operate properly

  • Be sure that the driver signs into the driver logic app as soon as their shift starts and click “check in” in the upper right corner where it looks like a little clock.

  • Be sure they sign out when they no longer want to receive orders
